Inspired by her mother’s migration story, yeh mere ghar heh (this is my home) is an exploration of her mother’s idea of home. At 18 Mavish’s mother, moved to Birmingham to set up a new life and start family. Through familiar places and people, she created a new home for herself in Birmingham whilst staying true to her Pakistani roots.
