On loan from the BCU archive, ‘Zainab Ali’ tells the story of the first recorded person of colour at the School of Art, BCU. With help from Ali’s daughter, Aisha Thomas, Mavish and the BCU archive have been able to interpret these objects and learn more about the woman who changed the face of the school of art forever.
